DIFFERENT TYPES OF B1 ITALIAN TEST
It is also important to remember that there are 3 different types of B1 Italian exam:
- UNO-B1: the standard B1 Italian certificate.
- B1 Cittadinanza: this is for all of those who need to obtain Italian Citizenship.
- B1 Adolescenti: a Cils exam specifically for teenagers at B1 level.
The UNO-B1 standard test is aimed at all of those who need a title that is useful in the academic or work environment; on the other hand, the Italian Citizenship certificate is the official Italian language qualification you will need if you want to obtain Italian Citizenship either through marriage or residence.
REMEMBER:
These qualifications, awarded by the University for Foreigners of Siena, are valid indefinitely and internationally recognised.

- The results of the Cils B1 Italian Citizenship test are published about 40 days after the exam is taken, whereas the results of the standard Cils UNO-B1 are published 2-3 months after the exam date.
